In a prime, beach-front location on the back of Kiawah island, this home was made for memories. While the bones of the architecture are firmly planted in traditional, lasting design, there are purposeful elements of nautical whimsy throughout the home.

In this Kiawah kitchen renovation, we revitalized a poorly functioning space to make it both beautiful and easy to use. Closing off a redundant doorway into an adjacent room allowed us to maximize the storage capabilities along the refrigerator wall. Elements like wide shiplap on the walls, custom zinc pendants and leathered granite counter tops make this classic white kitchen anything but vanilla.

As one of the Voysey-inspired Garden Cottages of Cassique, this home has innate charm and architectural appeal in its whimsical English style. The interiors respond to this classic vernacular with intermingled modern and antique elements, as well as a dose of the Lowcountry aesthetic to lend a sense of place.

A client’s love of both Lowcountry style and all things French Country, led to an intermingling of these two distinct styles. We coined the resulting blend of styles as: “French Country meets Lowcountry”, which is carried throughout this Kiawah Island vacation home.

A casually elegant beach villa tucked between the rolling dunes on Kiawah Island’s pristine beaches. The full-scale renovation included adding a 3rd floor to allow for a Master Suite with enviable views to the Atlantic Ocean below. Modern and antique elements are intertwined to create an approachable, timeless space that feels intuitive and relaxing.

This Kiawah Island retreat is a great example of our ability to completely furnish an empty home from scratch. As in every project, we followed the mood and style of the architecture and existing finishes in order to create a cohesive design that feels intuitive. Nestled in the trees near the beach, this palette combines clean lines, soft colors and textures to create an inviting escape.
