associate designer

Evan’s love of design was planted in college when she sought a degree in interior design at the University of Kansas. She enjoyed studying architecture, and often spent her free time reading at the Art & Design Library on campus. After completing two years of commercial design education, Evan opted to transfer to a residential program at Johnson County Community College in Lenexa, Kansas.

There, her interest for residential design flourished as she simultaneously worked at a local furniture store for experience.

Evan graduated from Johnson County Community College in the Spring of 2011 with an Associate’s Degree in Interior Entrepreneurship. In 2012, she elected to move to the historic city of Charleston, SC, to pursue her passion of design along the coast. Since re-locating to Charleston, Evan has worked on a retail front in fabric, and 4.5 years in a tile showroom.

Evan joined the Red Element Design team in 2018 and has been enthusiastic about our Studio’s work ever since! “I especially love the process, the challenges that stretch us creatively, and working with our clients to discover a design that reflects them.”
